​I was excited to write this book. I did extensive research in East Tennessee, hoping to give readers the story of Aramis Black and Tuf Grant as they encounter a girl on the run in the Smoky Mountains. The girl's meth-cooking parents have been arrested and her siblings taken as wards of the state. She alone knows the identity of a killer in the area.

To help the girl survive, Aramis and Tuf must fight off foes from all sides while kindling romance in rural Appalachia.
